Due to its heavy weight, transportation of a transformer has proven to be complicated and demanding. Such heavy transportation needs special vehicles called Hydraulic Modular Axle Trailer to ensure its safe and proper delivery. These trailers are modular nature and enable us to combine rows of axles to increase the payload capacity as per requirement. There are several attachments available to handle special cases like

1. Transformer with large height: Well Deck Attachment for Hydraulic Modular Axle Trailer helps reduce the overall height, the bed being only 1 feet from the ground.
2. Super Heavy Transformers: Girder Bridge Mechanism helps distribute the load over a large number of axles, thereby reducing the load per axle within permissible limits, while keeping the overall height of the transformer down. It also has a bolster mechanism which helps with easier manoeuvrability.

There are numerous obstacles that may be faced while transporting an oversize heavy transformer. The main body is transported on HMT while the accessories are transported on high bed trailers and oil drums are transported in trucks.
